My recent question to the Minister about the brilliant work that local childminders do across Gloucestershire and how there is a greater need for more work to be done so that childminders on the ground can feel the benefits of the work government is doing to support them.

I recently met with Hardwicke Parish Council to discuss the local plan in Stroud and the pause to this process.

We also touched upon the pressure of traffic locally, even without new homes being built in the area.

I recently attended the APPG for Disability event in Parliament to meet with my constituent, Marianne, who works at National Star.

I have been asked by local veterans, midwives, and GPs to look at funding and why specialist roles need to be preserved by Gloucestershire’s NHS. 

I have raised their points with NHS chiefs and the Independent Care Board already.

I was pleased to attend the National Independent Life Boats Association event in Parliament hosted by Anthony Mangnall MP to show my support for the Severn Area Rescue Association (SARA).

I recently met with County Cllr Sue Williams and Cllr Karon Vizor-Beard of Whiteshill and Rushcombe Parish Council at Stratford Park to discuss the lack of playground facilities and access for disabled children and their families.

I am hugely supportive of encouraging reading from a young age and I feel very fortunate that locally we have so many libraries, schools and children’s groups that work tirelessly to improve children’s reading.
