Universal Credit

Universal Credit is a payment to help with your living costs. You may be able to receive it if you’re on a low income, out of work or you cannot work.

Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)

Employment and Support Allowance is a payment to help with living costs if you’re unable to work and/or support to get back into work if you can.

You can apply if you are employed, self-employed or unemployed.

Personal Independence Payment (PIP)

Personal Independence Payments (PIP) can help with extra living costs if you have both a long term physical or mental health condition or disability and difficulty doing certain everyday tasks or getting around because of your condition.

You can apply for PIP even if you are employed, have savings or are receiving most other types of benefits.

Carer’s Allowance

If you are a carer, you may be eligible for Carer’s Allowance. You do not need to be related to or live with the person that you care for to be eligible.
