This week SGS College Stroud hosted a Year 11 taster event for 300 pupils from local secondary schools who are currently deciding what they would like to do next academic year.
The taster day including workshops, practical activities and a talk on apprenticeship and work placement programmes.
The day was incredibly successful with Nicola Styler, School Liaison Manager for Stroud commenting:
“I was extremely pleased that so many Year 11 learners from local schools were able to come into the College and see the opportunities we have to offer. The students enjoyed the hands-on workshops and give-it-a-go sessions which gave them a fantastic insight into College life and the alternatives to studying A-levels at sixth form.”
