Details of the grants from the first round of funding from the £1.57 billion culture recovery fund have been announced.
HISTORIC ENGLAND AND NATIONAL LOTTERY HERITAFE FUND
Applications are now open for the Heritage Grants through Historic England and the National Lottery Heritage Fund and will close on 17th August 2020.
Businesses eligible for grants from Historic England and the National Lottery Heritage fund include:
• Heritage organisations managing a heritage site or visitor attraction
• Private owners of a heritage site, venue or attraction
• Organisations managing, maintaining or caring for culturally significant assets or collections
• Businesses that are a vital part of the heritage ecosystem, including conservators, contractors, specialists and suppliers
• Organisations that manage culturally significant assets or collections
• Non-accredited museums
ARTS COUNCIL ENGLAND
Applications for the first round of Arts Council England grants open on August 10th 2020 and close on 21st August 2020 at midday. The second round will open 21st August at 4pm, but ACE expect 75% of funding to be used in the first round.
Businesses who eligible to apply for the grants with Arts Council England include:
• Cultural organisations (both profit and not for profit) based in England that are properly constituted and are registered at Companies House and/or Charity Commission, and are able to produce at least one year’s full independently certified or audited financial statements
• Local Authorities, Universities and other Public Sector bodies who run or maintain cultural services can also apply
• For this programme, ACE defines ‘cultural’ as sitting within the remit of Arts Council England, however Library services are not eligible
BFI
Applications for the BFI grants open on 10th August and close on 30th October.
The BFI grants are directed solely for cinemas that are building based and provide a year round film programme.
